Update

So I've been without Internet for awhile but now I have it. Just want to give a quick update since I have pictures but I'm not able to post them because we still don't have everything set up at our new house. That's right.... our new house!! Brock and I have officially moved into the house of our dreams. Ok maybe not the house of our dreams but we still love it. It was a fixer upper and boy have we been fixing! When I get pictures posted I'll give more details but let me just say we have learned a lot and have had tons of help. I can't thank my mother enough for all the hard work and help she put into our house. She was awesome and never once complained. Also, thanks to our friends TC & Melissa for your help and for the beautiful granite. We've had a lot of help on this house and we appreciate all of it! We still have a lot of work to do but it's getting there. Brock and I both started school so we're back to being busy again but we try to finish things here and there. And yes, you read that last sentence correctly. I'm going back to school for my Bachelor's degree! I figured if I don't do it now, I never will. Anyways, that's about all I have until I get some pictures posted. But to give you an idea of what our house looks like here you go. :)

Update

Ok, I'm going to attempt to make this post short & sweet since I have TONS to cover. In my last post, I graduated (yay!) and towards the end of May, my BEST friend since kindergarten Holly Dae moved to Oklahoma. Words cannot describe how hard that was for me... I finally finish school and have time to play and she moves. Not that I expected her to stay forever, but I found out seriously 2-3 weeks before she was supposed to move. It was really hard to say good-bye and I cried my heart out after she left. I miss her. After that I celebrated my 23rd birthday. We had a wing eating contest and I totally lost. Our friend Cory won by eating 49 wings, Shalene came in 2nd place by eating 46 wings. Gross I know...I'm winged out. Brock got me the best birthday gift ever... a puppy!!! We named him Duke and he is so stinkin' cute. He's been lots of fun. After my birthday, I studied hard for my state board exam to become a registered nurse. On June 25th I took my exam and was positive I had failed. I wanted to vomit multiple times throughout my test. The next day, I found out I passed!!!! Woo-hoo! Brock & I also found out we are 95% sure we bought a house! We're still in the process of finalizing everything and hoping that everything goes well. We are so blessed and so grateful that after lots of hard work and prayers, things are looking a little better for us. Brock and I took a week trip and went camping with TC & Melissa then we went to Prescott for 3 days and checked out Jerome & Sedona while we were there too. It was nice to take a little vacation and get away from the heat. This last weekend, I went up for the 24th of July celebrations in Snowflake (Brock was camping with the guys) and got to see my family including my dad and my niece Jayda. My cousin is getting married so I went up for her bridal shower as well. Again, it was nice to get away from the heat. Well, that's about all I have. Sorry if this was long & boring I thought it would be shorter.

I know this is going to sound weird, but I almost didn't go to graduation aka the pinning ceremony. I didn't really know anyone in my class except for a few girls and I was so done with school. Plus, I'm not one for big crowds or big productions. But, my amazing husband talked me into doing it and I'm glad I did. It's tradition to wear all white (can't remember why) and everyone looked really nice. The ceremony was perfect. Not too long, but not too short either. As they announced our name, we walked across the stage and had a speech that we individually recorded playing while we were being pinned. I hope that makes sense. Anyways, while your speech is being played, you had to stay up on stage in front of everyone until is finished. So, me being the smart person I am, decided to keep it short & sweet. They announce my name, start playing my speech, and I finish getting pinned two seconds after my speech was done.... no need to stand and gawk out into the audience!! I know, smart huh? Well, I got made fun of because it was so short so I'd like to take this moment to say what I didn't say that night. To my husband Brock... thank you for being such an amazing person. You are my rock and you remind me that life is too short to stress out about the little things. Thanks for always making me laugh and making my life so sweet. To my parents... where do I begin? You have been on this journey with me longer than anyone and have given me the opportunity of a lifetime. I would not be where I am today without you and am so grateful for the endless love & support that you have given me. To all my other friends and family, thank you so much for your encouragement and support. Above all, I want to thank my Heavenly Father for giving me such great family and friends and for helping me through school, because I know without a doubt He is the only reason I made it through school.
