We're Parents?!

Sorry it's taken so long for me to post pictures... every time I tried my computer would take forever to load pictures and I'd get impatient and give up. Anyways, here are some pictures of our baby girl!!

I've changed hundreds of diapers in my lifetime and it's my own daughter who pees on me. Ok, maybe I just can't control my bladder :)
Her outfits are still pretty big but I still dress her up cuz their so cute!
I thought of my friend Chloe when I saw the cute elephants on these pajamas

So this is how it all went down...Monday (March 28th) Brock & I decided to go for a walk. I felt great and wasn't feeling anything other than the Braxton-Hicks contractions (but those don't hurt). I fell asleep on the couch after our walk & woke up at 11:30 pm not feeling so great. I start feeling contractions but nothing major so I go to bed. A little later Brock comes to bed & I turn to him and say, "Don't be surprised if I wake you up to go to the hospital." I decide to take a shower just in case. The contractions are getting worse but my water still hadn't broke. What finally got me to go to the hospital was that I saw blood. Well, we get into the car and Brock says, "Really? No gas?" Yeah, I totally didn't gas up my car that day so we had to stop & gas up. We drive as fast as we can and as we're getting on the freeway, I send a text out letting everyone know we're on our way to the hospital at about 1:30 am. We get to the hospital close to 2 am and she was born at 2:23 am. The nurse from the OB department took her sweet time getting us to our room because we told her it was our first baby... didn't matter that I was beating my head against the wheelchair because I was in so much pain. I know it's uncommon for a first baby to come so fast but when they checked me & found I was completely dilated... that's when things started to happen. I was whisked out of my room into a delivery room and didn't even have time for an epidural or anything. So there you have it! It was quite the experience and even though she came so fast, Adelaide had no bumps, lumps, or bruises. As for me, I tore pretty bad... my doctor couldn't count how many stitches she gave me. But, I've been so blessed and my recovery has been pretty good considering everything. I know I'm her mom so I'm biased but she really is perfect. We love our baby girl so much!

I'm SO glad I happened upon it today! Your daughter is beautiful! Congratulations! And you are totally Superwoman. I can't imagine having such a fast labor and natural delivery. Way to go! :)
