Thanksgiving

Here are some pictures from Thanksgiving. We again went up to Snowflake and had a nice time. Brock and I had fun taking pictures by this beautiful tree in my dad's yard. We also stopped by my Grandpa Porter's Bed & Breakfast because Brock had never seen it. I'm glad I married such a wonderful man who is so willing to take me to see my family. Thanksgiving was pretty quiet with lots of good food. Pretty sure I gained a couple pounds just off Thanksgiving dinner.

Twilight

I know Twilight has come and gone, but since school has been taking up most my time, I have not updated the blog for quite some time. As you can tell, these pics are from Twilight the night it came out. A huge group of us went to the midnight showing... yes even my husband went and wore his shirt! I know.... what a man! I didn't get very many pictures and the ones I have aren't the greatest. I like the movie even though some of the people in the theater ruined the best part of the movie (when they kiss). It was still fun though.

Trip to Snowflake

We had a day off of school and work so my sweet husband took me up to Snowflake for a day. He knew I had been wanting to go and I was threatening to go by myself... haha I'm so nice. So Monday night we left and came back early this morning. We had a nice time and it was great to see my dad. The weather was SO cold but it felt SO good! Definitely hot chocolate weather. We just hung out and again I don't have very many pictures. On Tuesday we ate at Trapper's (good country cookin') for breakfast and then about 2 hours later had 2 slices of pizza from Bits (I had to get some of that while I was in town) and then later we ate Mexican at Eva's and then went back to Trapper's for pie. So much for Biggest Loser! Pretty sure I'm back to where I started after all that. I'm just grateful for my wonderful husband who does so much for me. We had a great time and for some reason got excited about the idea of building our own house and so many other things that are not even possible right now... gotta dream right?

Stake Conference

After Stake Conference, Brock & I decided it was such a beautiful day that we would set up our rad camp chairs and enjoy the weather. We got ourselves a couple swigs (soda for those who don't know our lingo) and kicked back for awhile! For anyone who has been to our place we set the chairs right by our door so we pretty much were outside next to all our neighbor's doors as well. Nobody ever saw us out there but I would have laughed at us if I were our neighbors.
I didn't have much of a view but I could see a little bit through the cracks
Cheese!

HaLlOwEeN!!

These are our Halloween pictures. I didn't get very many though. We went to a party that my friend Kristyn threw and it was fun! We had awesome decorations and lots of good food. The funny thing about our costume is that Brock bought it and I assumed he was trying to be funny. Well, one day he asked me if our costumes were dirty and I looked at him like "You're joking right?" He hadn't realized our costumes were kinda dirty! Haha I love my husband, he is always surprising me!

I didn't even know this guy but I liked his costume (cereal killer)
Most of the food was gone when I took this

My Sweetheart

I love this picture of Brock. He took it of himself early one morning on our honeymoon in Mexico. I just happened to come across it and want to just take a minute and tell my husband how much I love him. Marrying Brock was the best decision of my life. He makes me so happy and I can't imagine my life without him. He is so sweet to me... the other night we were making the bed together and I was apologizing to him for being kinda mean and an emotional rollercoaster lately. His response was, "That's ok baby... gotta have opposition in all things, right? Otherwise, we wouldn't know the good from the bad." He is so good with me and is usually doing something crazy. Sorry if this is super mushy but I truly appreciate my husband even though I may not always show it. He is my everything and I look forward to growing old & having saggy butts!!! Love ya babe!

The Glam Party!

A couple weekends ago, we had a party at my sister in law Shalene's house. Now, Shalene is my hero. She loves to throw a party and does a dang good job at doing it too. She went all out... music, decorations, dinner was served to us, the list goes on. Shalene provides so much excitement to my mundane life it's awesome! So below are some pictures from the party. Yes, I am embarrassed to admit but my outfit did not allow me to wear anything underneath so I am a little immodest. I probably should have gone with something more modest, but Calli talked me into the dress, and it was too good to pass up even if it was super tight. We had so much fun and if anyone wants to see more pics, go to Shalene's blog to check out her slide show.

Me & my pimp daddy
Dang!
Smokin' hot!
We have hardly any pictures of the party because Brock can't resist taking pictures like this
This is Cory...He dressed up like a caveman
Yes, that's Cory's wig on Jim's head. I think he looks like the Geico caveman

How cute...Twins!

The last weekend of September was the Run To The Pines Car Show in Pinetop. Brock & I rented a Harley and rode up with his parents and his sister's and their hubbies. We had a lot of fun even though we got rained on (and I said it wouldn't happen). We stayed with my dad and he rode up to the car show on his Harley. Shalene and Calli made a fabulous french toast breakfast for us on Sunday. Everyone had a great time and we got to enjoy the perfect weather that Snowflake had to offer. I wish I had more pictures because the car show was great and we also stopped by this crazy house with all kinds of taxidermy. It's kind of a long story but this guy in Pinetop who is related to Brock's sister in law is a MAJOR hunter. So much of a hunter, he has an elephant head on his wall! Crazy! He also had a lion and so many other animals I had never seen. We plan on doing another motorcycle trip to Tombstone so whoever wants to come, you are welcome to!!

How Things Are Going

We are more than half way through with Biggest Loser and we've actually done ok! The first time I lost 3 lbs, then the second time I gained one back, then I was back down 2 lbs, and the last time I was down another pound. To sum it up, I've lost 5 lbs. It doesn't feel like it but I guess I have. I need to throw some physical activity into my daily life and maybe I'd feel better about my weight loss because sometimes I feel like I'm starving myself. The last time I went running I just about died.... literally. It was the hardest thing I've done in a long time. Pretty pathetic if you ask me. If I had to guess, my brother in law Jim is going to win but that's just me!

The Weigh In

So we did the weigh in for Biggest Loser on Tuesday and so far Brock has lost 2 lbs and I have lost 3 lbs! Now, I'm not trying to brag because sure my weight came off fast, but just watch me not be able to lose any more weight! But I'm being really good (at least trying to) and so is Brock. Even if we don't win, we are on our way to being the sexiest people on the planet. Oh wait, we already are! Just in case you didn't recognize the supermodels in the picture, it's us.

Biggest Loser...

I think it's unfair that guys lose weight so much easier than girls! So far this week I have not lost ANY weight. I haven't gained either so I guess that's a good thing. From what I've heard, my bro-in-law Jim has already lost a good amount of weight. This week was a challenge. I was able to get rid of my 5 lb tub of chocolate chip cookie dough but I did have a couple cookies. Saturday night was hard because we went out to Chili's with family and friends and it's hard to eat good when you're eating out. Plus, the only reason I go to Chili's is because of the Chocolate Molten cake.... which Brock did order but I held strong! I'd already had my cookies haha! Brock & I have been riding our beach cruisers around a lot but it's not really enough to burn major calories. At least we're doing something. We're supposed to weight in every week so we'll see what the scale says!

Biggest Loser Baby!

Can you believe it?! Brock & I have decided to do our own Biggest Loser along with his sister's and their husbands. It was his sister Shalene who decided we should do this over the course 8 weeks. I am so excited!! Nervous, but excited. I know this is going to be a good thing for me and hopefully Brock feels the same. I decided to use my blog as my journal for this journey. Even though it has only been less than a week, I'm already starting to get a feel for how hard this is going to be. For those of you who know me, my sweets and carbs are going to be really hard to give up. But, I WANT to do this and I WILL do this because I CAN. Just have to think positive. Wish us luck!!! Go team...woo hoo!

What Happens In Vegas...

So we decided to go to Vegas Saturday night around 11pm. Why not since we have a long weekend? Plus, I've never been so that's one more reason to go. We spent the night in Laveen with our friends Beau & Kelsey. We got to bed around 2 am and got up to leave for Vegas at 5 am. We crammed 8 of us into their Ford Explorer...talk about cozy! I got to know my in-laws VERY well! Haha joking, but it was a tight squeeze. So below are some pictures from our trip.
This is our group on the shuttle to the strip from our hotel. I love how Shalene isn't even aware there's a picture happening! Calli knows what up though!

This is in front of the Luxor (I think). The weather was a little warm but nothing like here.
New York, New York baby!!
This is our good friend the Coca-Cola bear. Brock looks scared like he's going to get hit somewhere!
Our other good friend, the M&M guy!

This is a room full of blacklights at the M&M factory. All you can see is my purse and part of my shirt.
My first slot machine! I won SO much! Not really but I wish :)
My favorite part of the trip! Haha just kidding. Us girls couldn't resist getting a picture with the poster.
This is Brock's future ride...We took this at the Harley Davidson Cafe
I put this picture up only because I love Kelsey's face!
This was one the walls at the HD Cafe. If you can't tell, the flag is made of chains!!
The food at the Harley Davidson cafe was so good.
