Does anyone have advice on how to diet & keep up the milk supply while breastfeeding? I want to start dieting but I'm not sure how to do that without drying out my milk. I could really use suggestions so if anyone has them, I'd love to hear it!
I guess I spoke too soon!

Hey Jessica,
You probably remember me from school way back when =) Your sweet baby is so cute! Don't you just love being a mom? Its really the best thing ever! From my experience dieting and breast feeding don't go hand in hand. At least not in the way you are thinking. They say that breastfeeding will help you loose weight. I think thats totally true, until you start eating the second and third brownie, every day. As long as you have a healthy diet to begin with it will come off. And make sure you are drinking a ton of water. That is so important. Exercising wouldn't hurt either. But with you being small to begin with it shouldn't be a problem. Just don't expect it right away, 9 months of a growing tummy doesn't just go away. I've heard a year is about the time it takes to bounce back fully. Plus if you enjoy breastfeeding bonding, then don't be in a hurry. You don't want to rush those times, they fly by! My little boy is almost 2 and a half and I'd give anything to go back to the days of nursing him as a sweet innocent infant!
Don't worry about it now!! You just had a baby and nursing is the best diet ever. Just exercise, eat healthy and drink a ton of water and it will come off! The last thing you need to worry about with a newborn is getting skinny right away. I know it's a little depressing to have a baby and still feel six months pregnant for a while but it'll shed. Just enjoy that baby!!
You still want to take in enough calories, but you can jump the gun by choosing certain types of food. I can help you if you want!! Put up your photoshoot pics! I want everyone to see how cute you guys are!
Oh Jess, I am sure you look AMAZING! but yes all the advice above sounds right! and about your comment you left me, YES i would LOVE LOVE the pics of Kloey when you were with us, its such good timing cause we just found out we LOST everything from Klaires birth and BEFORE! (I am devastated) so I am trying to round up anything that anybody has of us since then! So I would LOVE THEM!
any advice of not becoming such a HEFFER while I am pregnant! I swear no matter what I eat I gain a 100 pounds a week, no lie, as Kloey puts it, "mom your bum is as big as a house" hahaha, gotta love her, see what you have to look forward to, such self esteem boosters from my 5 year old! Miss you, and I hope your just loving being a Mom, I can't wait to meet that sweetheart!
